Meeting the challenge of creating a sophisticated environment in an up-scale strip shopping center, SIR Inc. begins the drama for arriving guests with a swooping, 40-foot cantilevered canopy. The molded steel frame begins at the valet station, penetrates the glass curtain wall and slopes down behind the hostess desk.
On the first floor of the two-story restaurant, guests have the choice of perching at the 40-foot long bar with copper counter.
The bar connects to both the more casual bistro to the right where a vertical fireplace is dramatic focal point and the main dining room to the left.
The main dining room features a lengthy horizontal fireplace. Banquette seating lines the walls with table seating in the middle. A two story, glass-enclosed wine cellar provides the perfect spot for small dinner parties.
Access to the second level party rooms is via a glass-enclosed elevator as well as a cantilevered staircase, both created a striking connection between the two floors. In a twist on traditional storage, wine bottles are suspended on metal rods supported by the glass walls, creating the dramatic illusion of floating bottles.
